Configured as exit only with no outside trim, this less bottom rod (LBR) model uses a door bolt thermal pin to engage the frame during a fire event, keeping the opening secure without a floor-mounted bottom latch. Finished in US32D (630) satin stainless steel, it offers a durable, clean appearance that resists wear in high-traffic environments. The device is field reversible for handing flexibility, making it a practical choice for schools, offices, and institutional buildings.

Features

90-minute fire rated for use on labeled fire door assemblies.

Surface-mounted vertical rod design for dependable top-latch egress.

Exit only function provides free egress with no outside operating trim.

Less bottom rod (LBR) configuration eliminates the floor latch for cleaner, lower-maintenance operation.

Door bolt thermal pin secures the opening during a fire condition.

Field reversible to accommodate left- or right-hand door installations.

Sized for door widths up to 36 inches.

Durable US32D satin stainless steel finish for lasting appearance.

Functional Details

As an exit only device, the 7170-F-90-LBR provides unobstructed egress from the secure side with no outside trim.
