The LCN 1261-SCUSH Surface Door Closer is a heavy-duty, Grade 1 commercial door closer designed for high-traffic and high-abuse environments requiring controlled door opening with added impact protection. Featuring a Spring Cush-N-Stop arm (SCUSH), this closer incorporates a spring-loaded cushioned stop that absorbs opening force and helps protect doors, frames, and surrounding walls from damage. Designed for push side parallel arm mounting, the 1261-SCUSH supports up to 110° door swing and includes a non-sized adjustable spring (Size 1–5) for flexible use on interior doors up to 4’6” and exterior doors up to 3’6”. Built with a durable cast aluminum body and all-weather hydraulic fluid, it ensures reliable performance in extreme conditions while meeting ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 and UL10C fire safety standards, making it ideal for schools, hospitals, and other demanding commercial applications.
