The Rockwood 555-12 Lever Extension Flush Bolt Has a 3/4" bolt throw, 3/4" rod backset 12" rod length (center of face to bolt end - retracted), 1 1/2" adjustable bolt head, and is for use with Fire Rated Hollow Metal Swinging Doors.
Straight forward install. The latch sticks out a bit. Not flush. Had to grind it down 3/16ths. This for Douglas door install with the Hager 551 rack and pinion hinges, so minimal gaps with these flush bolts…suggest mortise another 1/16 th. Don’t get me started ont he Hager 551. No good literature on adjusting. They should drill a hole in their top spring loaded pin. Pain in the ass for a $350 pivot hinge. Wish my clients had the money for heavy duty soss hinges. Hager needs more detailed install instructions. 9 hours to hang 2 175 lb custom doors. Impossible to get a 3/32 gap, more like 1/4”.
