The Sargent 8272-12V Lock Body Only Electro Mechanical Fail Safe Function, Double Cylinder, 12VDC, Grade 1, Feild Reversible is designed for applications that need dependable electrified mortise lock performance without replacing trim. This lock body only configuration features an electro mechanical fail safe function that unlocks when power is applied, along with a double cylinder setup for keyed operation from both sides. Functional Details

This electro mechanical fail safe mortise lock body is intended for openings where the outside lever or knob is electrically controlled. In fail safe mode, the locked side is released when power is applied, making it suitable for controlled access applications that require unlocking during energized operation.

• 72 function — Power ON, locks both levers

• Specify voltage: 12VDC or 24VDC (operates from 12-24VDC)

• Key on either side retracts latchbolt

• Lever from either side retracts latchbolt, except when levers are locked

• Both levers can only be locked & unlocked electronically

• Levers can not be locked separately, only together
