The LV9453 Vandlgard entry function combines a latchbolt and deadbolt operation with vandal-resistant lever protection, keeping the mechanism intact even when the locked outside lever is forced. Latch and deadbolt are operated by key from the outside and by thumbturn or lever from the inside.

• Latchbolt operated by lever either side except when outside lever is locked by key.
• When outside lever is locked, latchbolt operated by key outside or by lever inside.
• Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key outside and by turn unit inside.
• Rotating outside lever does not retract latchbolt when locked (Vandlgard).
