Upgrade the functionality and installation process of your Von Duprin latch with the 114317-00 QEL Quiet Electric Latch Retraction Modular Conversion Kit. With a modular motor assembly that fits both 3' and 4' devices, this kit offers flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and easy installation, without the need to replace the entire baseplate assembly.

QEL Quiet Electric Latch Retraction

The Quiet electric latch retraction (QEL) offers electronic control of an exit device in settings where minimizing operational noise is preferred. Von Duprin favors the QEL option for environments like hospitals, libraries, museums, and theaters, where excessive ambient noise can be disruptive. 

  • QEL option available on all 98/99, 94/95, 33A/35A, and 22 Series exit devices
  • Energy-efficient motorized latch retraction utilizes a standard 2 amp power supply, enabling longer wire runs from the power source
  • Quiet operation in both mechanical and electronic states
  • Modular design allows for a simplified installation
  • On-board installation and troubleshooting diagnostics built into device
  • Auto adjust latch retraction – automatically adjusts latch throw and pull
  • Pushbar is pulled in electronically for quieter operation when dogged
  • Vandal resistant – detects and responds to events of attack and tampering
