The LCN 1460-18DS Drop Plate is a heavy-duty mounting adapter designed for use with LCN Closers 1460 Series surface-mounted door closers equipped with the Designer Series (DS) metal cover. This drop plate is required for hinge side (pull side) installations when the door top rail measures less than 2-1/2" (64 mm), and for top jamb applications when the head frame is less than 2-3/4" (70 mm). Requiring a minimum 1-1/2" top rail or 1-3/4" head frame, the 1460-18DS ensures proper closer alignment, secure reinforcement, and maintains ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 performance in high-traffic commercial, institutional, healthcare, and government applications.
